In the middle of the 17th century, further significant constructions took place III. Under the direction of regional judge Ferenc Nádasdy. The castle's series of ceiling battle paintings, made with secco and fresco techniques, is the largest series of monumental historical wall paintings in Hungarian Baroque art, and as such this is the only one left. The pictures were painted by Hans Rudolf Miller in 1653, and mostly II. The anti-Turkish battles of Ferenc Nádasdy, the "black bey", are depicted. On the side walls of the hall are the works of István Dorffmaister, who also came from Vienna but settled in Sopron, a hundred years later in 1769, depicting scenes from the Old Testament, made with mixed techniques (oil and al fresco-al secco).
